Trajectory
Born in 2010, in the vibrant cultural scene of Barcelona, Spain, the project "O Planeta Agradece" soon gained space with an innovative art-education proposal focused on sustainability.
In 2015, the project settled in Medellín, Colombia, where it reached a new professional phase, performing at important festivals and cultural events. It participated in festivals such as Pulgas Mix Festival de Arte en Acción and Piknik Elektronic in Barcelona, Primavera Fest in Medellín, GreenMoon Fest in San Andrés and Carnaval de las Artes in Barranquilla, in addition to performing in numerous theaters, museums, cultural centers and schools in Colombia.
In 2019, "O Planeta Agradece" arrived in Brazil, bringing its ecological message and adapting the content to the local context. Since then, the project has been presented in iconic locations such as CCBB SP, Blue Note Kids SP, CCJ Cachoeirinha, Clube Tietê, Parque das Bicicletas and Vila Itororó, as well as several CEUs in the city of São Paulo. It has also participated in important cultural events, such as the Altitude Festival and the Gastronomic Festival in Gonçalves, MG.
In Rio de Janeiro, the project was present at events such as the Midrash Theater Festival, the traveling exhibitions of the Rio Art Museum in São Gonçalo and Duque de Caxias, and participated in the Ocupa 22 call for proposals with an artistic residency at MAR. In addition, "O Planeta Agradece" was invited to participate in the Lobo Guará Sustainability Award, in São João del Rei, Minas Gerais, reinforcing its relevance in the field of art and environmental awareness.

Immensità Environmental Awareness Award – 3rd Place in the Service Company Category
In June 2025, O Planeta Agradece was nationally recognized at the Immensità Environmental Awareness Award, earning 3rd place in the Service Company category.
This award honors impactful initiatives in the field of sustainability throughout Brazil and represents a meaningful acknowledgment of our ongoing artistic and educational work. Our mission centers on environmental preservation and fostering ecological awareness from early childhood.
The award ceremony took place on June 3rd during a gala dinner celebrating Environment Month, bringing together innovative projects committed to sustainable practices across different sectors. Being among the top three finalists fills us with pride and reinforces the importance of our work as a tool for social and environmental transformation.
This recognition reaffirms our dedication to promoting—through art, creative recycling, and music—core values that support sustainable development, ecological citizenship, and care for future generations.
Awards
The "O Planeta Agradece" project has been recognized twice by the renowned LatinoAmérica Verde Awards, which celebrates the best socio-environmental projects in Latin America. In 2020, the project was among the 500 best, occupying position 381 in the general ranking and 82nd place in the "solid waste management" category, among 2,540 projects registered from all over Latin America. This was the second recognition by the Award, the first having been received in 2016.
In addition to the recognition, the project participated in a program to strengthen sustainable companies, promoted by the organization of the Latin America Green Awards. This program offered access to a Latin American commercial platform, facilitating the exchange of knowledge with other sustainable companies and connecting "The Planet Thanks" to a wide network of potential investors and collaborators, opening new doors for the future of the project.
